our part numbers work...
Part lists are broken down by engine family. Engine families carry the same basic
design starting with the crankcase. There can be different sizes in the same engine
family as well as aero, marine, and car versions. First
determine what engine family you are looking for and find your engine. For
more information click the complete history for all the information on a particular
engine family. (This is still under construction) |

K&B .18 family consists of Aero, Marine, and Car versions. Complete
.18 History Distinguishing features: 4 bolt head, oval K&B logo on
one side, no size markings, 3 support ribs on each side of case. |

Sportster
Engine family |  |
Sportster engine family consists of 3 sub families. The .20 & .28, the
.45, and the .65 Complete History for .20 &
.28 .45 .65 Distinguishing
features: 4 bolt head, Made in USA on one side of case, K&B (not oval logo)
on other side. Some had size stamped on mounting lug but most had no size reference.
Plain bearing engine. You can determine the size by counting the cylinder fins...
the .20 & .28 have 9 fins, the .45 has 10 fins, and the .65 has 13 - Click

.40 Engine family |
 |
K&B .40 family consists of aero and marine engines. This engine started
out with "Torpedo" on the case then was changed to and oval K&B
logo. Torpedo came in sizes .29, .35, and .40 K&B came in .35 and .40.
Complete .40 History Distinguishing features:
Machined fins on crankcase, front and rear cover bolt on, All had size cast on
side below the Torpedo or K&B logo. |
