Sometimes parts from different engine families are shared between families. Usually the first family to use the part will hold the family identifier. Like a 85-0102 is a idle needle for a RJL K.61 but it also fits a older K&B .61 and .40 carb. Since the RJL used it first the number retains the -01 in the K&B .61 and .40 parts lists.
Using this system you can sometimes make up a number and find the part you are looking for. Lets say you want a crankshaft for a K&B Sportster .20 - If you go to our shopping cart all you need to search be is 17-56 (omit the last 2 digits) and the result will be all the crankshafts fitting that engine family. This works only if the parts are not shared across engine families.

We are making some changes as outlined below. We decided to do this for our warehousing and sorting of parts.

Now with the addition of FOX and WEBRA we're adding some new numbers variations.

Fox numbers in the 1950's were very simple 4 digit. Then he went to a 5 digit. All CL engine parts started with a 1, all RC engine parts started with a 2. We are dropping the first digit and adding out part category identifier to the beginning and mostly leaving the rest of t he number the same.

We will begin to use our first 2 category digits followed by "f" with a portion of the original FOX number. Like 13516 Fox Needle will be 85f-3516 but you can search both number in our cart.

Webra numbers used a / which is not computer friendly in some cases. We are replacing the / with a - So part number 1024/10 will become 1024-10 in addition we will be doing the same as with the FOX parts by adding the category identifier at the beginning so the 1024-10 will become 11w-2410

Here are some additional brand identifiers, we will use 29 gasket identifier for explanation purposes.

11- no brand identifier, part or our original core group of brands, as shown in the table at the top of this page.

11f-xxxxx FOX
11w-xxxxx WEBRA
11cx-xxxxx COX
11cm-xxxx Cameron

Below are identifiers for aftermarket parts we have for brands we don't own.
11os-xxxx OS
11st-xxxx Super Tigre
11tt-xxxx Thunder Tiger

and many more will be coming.
