Shuwa was the biggest private lable engine producer in Japan. If you own a "Made in Japan" engine that was not made by OS, Enya, Saito, or YS it was probably made by Shuwa Industry.

Shuwa private labled or made engines for HPI, Yokomo, Fantom Racing FR, Kyosho, Tamiya, Air Supply AS, Team Infinity, Drake, Acme, Werks, Orion, Hot Bodies, CRF, General Silicone GS, X-RAY and others.

Information on heads
The main consideration on heads is the type of glow plug used, the screw hole spacing, obviously the number of screws, the portion of the head that actually goes into the cylinder and how far in it actually goes. We try to include a drawing so you can confirm for yourself if you are ordering the correct head.

Shuwa heads fall into displacment sizes which can be identified by bore size:

Since Shuwa produced more private label engines than anyone, there may be more sizes not listed.
