How to hook up water lines on Marine Engines.

On inboard engines without exhaust cooling:
From the water pick up tube behind the propeller, the water is forced up the tube where it is routed into one nipple on the head then out the other nipple and back into the lake.

On inboard engines with exhaust cooling:
From the water pick up tube behind the propeller, the water is forced up the tube where it is routed into the lower nipple at the exhaust. Then out the otherside and into the upper nipple on the exhaust. Then out the otherside and into one of the inlets on the head. The water then exits out the other nipple and back into the lake.

On outboard engines:
From the water pick up tube behind the propeller, the water is forced up the tube where it is routed into one of the inlets on the head. The water then exits out the other nipple and back into the lake.
